Hill's™ PRESCRIPTION DIET™ k/d Kidney Care Wet Dog Food is a complete dietetic pet food for support of renal function in cases of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency in adult dogs. This food has a low level of phosphorus and a restricted level of protein but of high quality.
It has clinically proven nutrition to improve & lengthen quality of life. It has been formulated with ActivBiome+ Kidney Defense, a proprietary blend of prebiotics shown to nourish the gut microbiome to help protect kidney function.
When dogs have kidney tissue damage, their kidneys cannot perform as well. This condition is not reversible, but progression may be slowed. Dogs with decreased kidney function may experience a loss of appetite and their food intake might decline. Dietetic foods for kidney conditions are designed to help reduce workload on the kidneys, enabling them to function more effectively.

New to this food? Mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food for 7 days or more.

PLEASE NOTE: Some pet food tins are made from very thin metal, so we package them carefully for shipping. However the odd tin can get a little dented during transit. In the majority of cases this is simply cosmetic damage and the contents are unaffected. If you see a dented tin on delivery, just give it a quick once over and if you can't see any leaks the can's unpunctured - the food will be fine.
