How long does Frontline take to dry?

The drying time varies slightly depending on the product:

Frontline Plus typically dries within 24 hours after application. The active ingredient in Frontline Plus, fipronil, is a slow-release formula that takes about 24 hours to fully absorb into the skin. However, the product is water-resistant and can withstand light rain or a quick swim within a few hours of application.

Frontline Tri-Act Spot-On usually dries within 2-4 hours. The active ingredients in Frontline Tri-Act Spot-On, fipronil and permethrin, are both fast-acting and the product dries within 2-4 hours of application. However, it is still important to avoid bathing your pet for at least 48 hours after application.

Frontline Flea Spray dries within 5-10 minutes. It is a fast-drying product that can be applied to wet or dry fur.

Ensure you follow the recommended guidelines for application and avoid bathing your pets during the drying period for maximum effectiveness.

What is the difference between Frontline Spot-On and Frontline Plus?

Frontline Spot-On and Frontline Plus are both topical flea and tick treatments for dogs and cats. However, there are some key differences between the two products.

Frontline Spot-On:

Contains the active ingredient fipronil, which kills adult fleas and ticks.
Provides up to 30 days of continuous protection.
Safe for use on dogs and cats of all ages.
Can be used on puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks old.
Available in a variety of sizes to fit different pets.

Frontline Plus:

Contains the active ingredients fipronil and (S)-methoprene.
In addition to killing adult fleas and ticks, Frontline Combo also prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing.
Provides up to 30 days of continuous protection.
Safe for use on dogs and cats of all ages.
Can be used on puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks old.
Available in a variety of sizes to fit different pets.

The main difference between Frontline Spot-On and Frontline Plus is that Frontline Plus contains an additional active ingredient, (S)-methoprene, which prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing. This means that Frontline Combo can provide more comprehensive protection against fleas, as it can help to break the flea lifecycle.

However, Frontline Spot-On is generally less expensive than Frontline Combo. So, if you are looking for a more affordable option, Frontline Spot-On may be a good choice for you.
