It is recommended that a vet's opinion is sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially, feed renal special for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency. For cases of temporary renal insufficiency, a period of 2 to 4 weeks feeding is recommended.

It is available in 2kg and 10kg bags.

About Renal Dog Food: If your dog has lost their appetite and seems to be drinking more, it may be suffering from kidney problems. The nutritionists and veterinarians at Royal Canin have developed renal dog food in a range of flavours (both wet and dry) to offer your pet to make them more comfortable and give their system a much-needed boost.  As well as tasty range, designed to encourage even the fussiest dog to eat, the high-density calorie formula means only a small portion of renal dog food is needed to get results.
Renal dog food contains Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants to help improve your dog's kidneys and general immune system health.  Restricted phosphorus and protein work to support your dog's kidney function, with all ingredients working together to help make your dog more comfortable.

Does my dog need renal dog food? Your dog may have a kidney problem if they a showing some of these:
Weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea, poor hair/coat, loss of appetite, drinking more/urinating more.
Speak to your vet if you think your dog may be suffering from a problem with their kidneys and they will advise you on what treatment will be best for you and your dog.

"Our elderly dog really didn't like the Hills renal food, she was leaving much of it every day and I was getting worried that there was no alternative. She eats all of the Royal Canin eagerly - we use a mix of tin, pouch and biscuit. Clean bowl every time"
