Felimazole Tablets 2.5mg
What is Felimazole? Felimazole is for the treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats. It is supplied in 1.25mg, 2.5mg tablets and 5mg tablets and can be sold as individual tablets or packs of 100. Each strength tablet has a different colour sugar coating. The 1.25mg tablets are red, the 2.5mg tablets are pink and the 5mg tablets are orange.
Felimazole Tablets are a prescription item and will be sent once a valid prescription is received. Please follow the instructions given by your vet.
The active ingredient in Felimazole is thiamazole. This can cause haemoconcentration and therefore it is important to make sure your cat has access to plenty of drinking water.
What is hyperthyroidism? Hyperthyoidism (also known as overactive thyroid) is a condition that occurs when the thyroid gland begins to produce an excess amount of the thyroid hormone. Cats with hyperthyroidism tend to burn energy too rapidly and this can result in weight loss, despite the increase in appetite. This condition is very common in older cats.
Fortunately, the majority of cats that develop hyperthyroidism can be treated successfully and make a complete recovery.
The most common signs of hyperthyroidism are:
. Weight loss
. Increased appetite
. Increased thirst
. Increased heart rate.
The recommended starting dose for the long term treatment of hyperthyroidism is 5mg per day. The dose can then be split and a 2.5mg tablet can be given twice daily but your Vet will advise on what dosage is most appropriate for your cat.
Do not use in pregnant or lactating cats.
Do not use in cats with a hypersensitivity to thiamazole.
Do not break, split or crush tablets.
Do not handle without gloves if pregnant. Pregnant women should also not handle cat litter unless wearing gloves.

Web page excellent, prescription food was half the price that my vet prescribed for my cat and quick delivery. Thank you, I will definitely recommend you.
I was sent a text and email saying my order was out for delivery and would be delivered later that day. I was at work and my neighbour said they would take the delivery. My neighbour waited in all day, but nothing arrived.
I received another text and email saying the same thing the following day. I called pet drugs online to confirm delivery was happening and explained situation. I received no apology and was told it was due to “cyber monday” meaning some orders didn’t leave the depot.
This is the second time my order from pet drugs online has been delivered on a different day, after a text and email saying it was out for delivery and would be delivered that day.
My order did arrive, however I will not be ordering from pet drugs online again
