Thoughtful Gifts for Horses Under £20

You don’t need a big budget to find something worth wrapping. These smaller gifts range from stocking fillers for your horse to additions to an owner’s grooming bag.

Horse Treats and Licks

For the horse who’s always checking your pockets, a bag of treats is a good place to start.

TheNAF Treat Bundle for Horses brings together Banana & Blueberry, Cherry and Hedgy treats in three 1kg bags. Gift the selection together, or share the bags between a few equine friends on your Christmas list.

For a smaller present, the650g Horslyx Original Balancer Lick is easy to tuck into a stocking. This vitamin and mineral lick offers a different option from a bag of bite-sized treats.

Already shopping for a dedicated lick-toy fan? Likit refills, includingcarrot andcherry, let you top up their favourite activity. ABizzy Horse Bizzy Lick Refill makes a handy stocking filler for a horse who already has a Bizzy Ball.

Toys for Curious Horses

If you’d prefer a present they can investigate, theLikit Holder for Horses adds a gentle challenge to an edible reward. It hangs freely from the supplied rope and moves as your horse reaches for the lick, making it an option for horses trying this type of toy for the first time.

The holder and compatible 650g refills are sold separately. Include one of each if you’re buying their first setup, so both parts are ready to unwrap.

Hoof Care Essentials

It might not be the sparkliest present under the tree, but a top-up of a much-used hoof care product can earn you plenty of brownie points with its owner.

The500ml NAF PROFEET Five Star Farrier Solution helps nourish the hoof horn and protect against drying and cracking. For an owner who already uses it, a fresh bottle is a gift with a clear place in their horse care routine.

Handy Grooming Accessories

For someone whose Christmas morning will include a trip to the yard, a grooming accessory could be just the thing.

TheHenry Wag Microfibre Noodle Glove Towel for Horses can be used wet for cleaning or dry to absorb moisture. Its glove design makes it easy to hold while working over the coat, whether the recipient is tidying up after a ride or tackling a muddy patch.

Mane and Tail Favourites

Know a horse owner who takes pride in a beautifully brushed tail? A detangling spray could be their sort of present.

NAF Silky Mane & Tail D-Tangler Spray conditions and detangles, leaving a non-sticky finish. It’s a fitting choice for someone who enjoys keeping their horse looking smart, from show-day preparations to everyday grooming.

Luxury Gifts for Horses and Horse Owners

For a more generous Christmas present, think bigger collections, a toy with refills included or something the recipient has already put on their wish list. These gifts bring together a little extra for the horse and their owner.

NAF Five Star Supplements

A supplement might be an unexpected Christmas present, but for an owner who has requested one, it can be a welcome contribution to their horse’s care.

NAF Five Star GastriAid, a digestive support supplement available in different tub sizes, is one option for someone who already includes it in their horse’s feeding routine.

With any supplement, choose the exact product, size and format the owner has asked for. This is a gift where getting the details right matters more than keeping everything a surprise.

Premium Hoof Care Bundles

TheNAF Hoof Care Bundle offers a larger gift for an owner who uses the PROFEET range. It contains:

• Hoof Moist Natural, 900g

• Rock Hard Hoof Hardener Liquid, 250ml

• Farrier Solution, 500ml

The collection brings together products for hoof moisture, hardening and external care. Each has a different purpose, so confirm the selection suits the recipient’s existing routine before wrapping it up.

A Carr & Day & Martin Grooming Collection

For the friend who takes as much pride in their horse’s turnout as their own Christmas outfit, put together a gift from the Carr & Day & Martin grooming range.

A coordinated selection could include:

• Gallop Conditioning Shampoo for removing dirt, sweat and grease from the coat.

• Mane & Tail Conditioning Horse Spray for detangling and conditioning.

• Dreamcoat Horse Spray for a glossy finishing touch.

For someone with a light-coloured horse, you could swap the conditioning shampoo forGallop Horse Stain Removing Shampoo, which targets grass and stable stains.

These products are sold individually, so you can build the collection around your budget and the recipient’s grooming preferences.

Bizzy Horse Toys and Treat Bundles

For a horse who enjoys nudging and investigatig, theBizzy Horse Bizzy Ball offers several ways to explore. It can be used on the ground or hung using the supplied rope, and it holds a compatible Bizzy Lick refill.

For a gift with the refills included, theBizzy Horse Toy & Treat Bundle pairs a black Bizzy Ball with apple and original lick refills.

It makes a bigger present for a playful horse, with the reusable ball remaining once the refills have been enjoyed. The wall-mounting bracket is sold separately if the owner prefers a mounted setup.

Premium Horse Care Hampers

If you’re looking for gift ideas for horse lovers with a personal touch, build your own horse care hamper.

Mix a few different types of present: a grooming accessory for the owner’s kit, a favourite care product and some suitable treats for their horse. You could pair the Henry Wag glove towel with a mane and tail spray, then add an owner-approved bag of treats to finish the selection.

Arrange everything in a reusable basket or grooming bag sourced separately, ready to gift. A few carefully chosen items can make the hamper feel special without filling it with things the recipient may never use.

Choosing a Gift for Someone Else’s Horse

Not sure what to buy for a horse-loving friend? A few clues from the owner can help you find something that earns its place in the tack room.

• Ask for a photo of their favourites. Similar names and packaging can make products difficult to distinguish, especially supplements.

• Check edible gifts suit the horse. Treats, licks and balancers need to fit their feeding routine. Get the owner’s go-ahead before ordering, particularly if the horse has dietary restrictions.

• Match refills to the toy. Check which holder or ball they own, as refills aren’t interchangeable across every range.

If you’d like to keep the final choice a surprise, ask which part of their grooming kit could do with a refresh. You’ll have a useful starting point while still leaving something for them to discover on Christmas morning.

Make Their Christmas a Little More Special

Whether you’re filling a stocking or putting together a hamper, we hope you’ve found something for the horse or horse lover on your Christmas list.
