RIMADYL® Palatable Tablets for Dogs 100mg is a square, light brown tablet that's an anti-inflammatory for the treatment of pain and inflammation due to arthritis, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery in dogs.
What are the signs of arthritis?
If your dog shows any of these signs, it is best to speak to your Vet to determine if your dog has arthritis:
- No longer greets you at the door
- Stiffness or decreased movement of joints
- Limpness or laming
- Soreness when touched
- Licking affected area
Instructions
Made with Carprofen which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication which is used to treat pain from inflammation. This can be due to arthritis, joint pain, oesteoarthritis, hip dysplasis and other forms of joint deterioration. It is also used to treat short-term post-operative pain.
The recommended dose of Rimadyl is 2-4mg of carprofen per kg bodyweight daily. This can be given in one full dose or divided into two equal doses. After 7 days, the dose can be reduced to 2mg per kg bodyweight daily and given as a single dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Always wash hands after handling the medication. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
