Optixcare® L-Lysine Chews are tasty, bite-size, easy to give soft chews that help reduce the severity and frequency of eye infection (conjunctivitis) associated with Feline Herpes. L-Lysine is a recognized component of the multi-faceted approach to treating herpes infections. L-Lysine has been shown to help reduce the frequency of herpes flare-ups and help with reducing their severity.
Instructions
Administer the following quantities orally:
Adult cats: 1 to 2 chew(s) daily (500 to 1000 mg L-Lysine)
Kittens (under the age of 6 months): ½ to 1 chew daily (250 to 500 mg L-Lysine)
Experts recommend administration of 1000 mg of L-Lysine daily in adult cats during times of active herpes.
