Hilton Herbs® Himalayan Rock Salt Licks are one of the purest forms of salt (sodium chloride) as they are directly mined from the salt mines in the Himalayan Mountains. Horses and ponies require supplementary salt daily. Research shows that salt is the one nutrient horses will self-supplement to balance their diet.
Hilton Herbs® Himalayan Rock Salt Licks are 'rock hard’, which means that horses and ponies cannot bite chunks off, a problem that can occur with the softer pressed salt licks. Additionally, they are weather-resistant, allowing them to be left in the field or stable for the horses to self-dose precisely as nature intended.
Instructions
The Hilton Herbs® Himalayan Rock Salt Lick can be hung in the stable, shelter, or field or placed in the horse's feeding bowl.
Restrict access to the licks in a stable if your horse or pony takes too much interest; if this occurs, use the feeding bowl instead.
