Gentian Violet Spray is a purple spray containing 0.5% gentian violet for application to minor cuts and abrasions. It is suitable for all livestock purposes and animals such as sheep, goats, cattle, horses, pigs and poultry. The spray is a non-sting aqueous formulation meaning it is easy to apply.
It is a natural antiseptic used for generations when treating animals with skin abrasions or wounds. It can also help to stop feather pecking by covering bare skin and wounds by making them purple and therefore less inviting.
Please note: This contains a dye which will temporarily stain the skin and coat.
Instructions
Directions:
Shake well before use.
Apply the spray generously to thoroughly cleaned wound or abrasion. Repeat as necessary.
Should the condition persist or worsen you should seek veterinary advice.
