Dechra SPECIFIC® FCW Crystal Management Adult Wet Cat Food is recommended to reduce the recurrence of struvite uroliths. Reduction of formation of new struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Reduction of feline lower urinary tract disease (including idiopathic cystitis and urethral plugs). Daily diet for adult cats up to 8 years of age. Idiopathic cystitis.
Dechra SPECIFIC® FCW Crystal Management Adult Wet Cat Food has a reduced content of magnesium and phosphorus (components of struvite crystals) to minimise the reduction of struvite crystals and stones. High-quality and highly digestible ingredients ensure an optimal uptake of nutrients from the diet whilst reducing faecal output. A urine pH below 6.4 dissolves existing struvite crystals and minimises the risk of precipitation of new struvite crystals. Low urinary RSS (Relative Super Saturation) values for struvite and calcium oxalate for undersaturation and low metastable saturation, respectively, to minimise the risk of new struvite and calcium oxalate crystals forming in the urine.
This diet is not recommended for simultaneous administration of urinary acidifiers. Kittens younger than six months and pregnant or lactating queens. Metabolic and renal acidosis.
