The Covetrus® NutriCareVet Senior Support Supplement Gel for Cats provides older cats with the additional support and nutrients they need that they can no longer produce in sufficient quantities on their own.

It is recommended for cats showing a lack of energy, decreased appetite, increased need for sleep, and/or worsening skin and coat condition.

The cat gel contains phosphatidylserine, which protects neurons from age-related degeneration. It also contains a powerful antioxidant vitamin E. The brain is particularly vulnerable to free radical damage due to its high oxidative metabolism, high lipid content, and limited ability to regenerate. High amounts of B vitamins help with cognitive disorders, beta-glucans strengthen the immune system, carnitine is necessary for the efficient functioning of the heart and skeletal muscles. Glucosamine, chondroitin and omega-3 fatty acids ensure joint mobility and promote the production of new cartilage. Additionally, L-arginine helps inhibit lipolysis and muscle protein degeneration associated with cachexia. Taurine is an important amino acid that is essential for retinal and cardiac function and has been shown to be common in older cats.
