Coatex Essential Fatty Acid Supplement

Coatex Essential Fatty Acid Supplement is an diet such as EFAs; as the animal itself is incapable of producing them which allows solutions to dry scaly or itchy skin.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS- what are they? EFA's are found in all cell membranes and ensure the correct structure and function of the cell, the primary EFA's are the Omega-6 Linoleic Acid (LA) and its derivative Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA); and the Omega-3 Fatty Acids Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA) with its derivatives Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docasahexaenoic Acid (DHA) for good health and well being.

Where do these EFAs come from? Linoleic Acid is found in vegetable oils such as corn and sunflower whereas Alpha Linolenic Acid is most commonly found in flaxseed.

Why use COATEX as opposed to other brands? Coatex contains the most up to date scientific blend and is rich in borage oil which contains almost two and a half times as much GLA as traditional oils such as evening primrose.

When should I use COATEX?  Whenever you see signs of EFA deficiency such as a dull coat or dry scaly and itchy skin and gain advice from your local veterinary surgeon before using product.

How do I administer COATEX? Coatex comes in two forms( highly palatable soft gel capsule or a special liquid pump) which delivers in one measure the same contents as one capsule.

What our vet says

What our vet says
"This is a feed supplement to help maintain healthy skin and coats in cats and dogs. Your pet cannot produce Essential Fatty Acids itself, so it needs a little help when dry skin problems occur. This treatment comes in capsules or in a pump-action can."
