KONG Dog Toys

Playtime is an essential part of your dog's day, offering them both exercise and enrichment while dissuading undesirable behaviours, such as:

  • → Barking
  • → Chewing things they shouldn't
  • → Digging
  • → And more!

KONG's range of toys is perfect for keeping them entertained and also satisfying dogs' instinctual behaviours, like chewing and chasing. Plus, KONGs are made with natural rubber, which is non-toxic and comes in a variety of durabilities to suit your dog's size.

Whether you're looking for a toy to keep your dog occupied while you put the laundry away or you want to help them work off some energy in the garden, KONG has you covered. You can even find a range of KONG Dog Treats specifically designed to work alongside many of their toys, so you can reward your pet for productive play and help encourage their natural behaviours in a productive way.

Kong Chew Toys

The KONG Classic dog toy is the most popular choice and is made of a durable and pet-safe rubber which is available in a variety of sizes, so there are perfect KONG toys for large dogs or small. This multifunctional toy can be used for various playtime, including fetch, just for chewing, or you can even stuff it with your dog's favourite snacks and treats to make for an enriching puzzle toy.

If your dog is a particularly voracious chewer, then you're in luck too. The KONG® Extreme Dog Toy range is the toughest of the KONG dog toys for aggressive chewers, lasting even longer than the Classic while still retaining enough squish for happy chewing. The KONG Extreme is perfect for power chewers, including Rottweilers, Dobermans, German Shepherds and more!

If your priority is to keep your dog distracted and enriched, then we'd recommended either filling a KONG toy with treats like the KONG Liver Easy Treat or choosing a specific KONG Treat toy like the KONG Wobbler™ Dog Toy, which is designed to sit upright unless nudged, encouraging your dog to bat and chase to get the treats out. This can be perfect for dogs prone to anxiety as a means to keep them distracted or for dogs that are naturally fast eating or need to lose some weight as it feeds your dog while also keeping them moving and slowing the speed they eat.

Kong Tug Toys

Dogs love nothing more than playing with their favourite human, and KONG offers a range of toys that are perfect for use in interactive play, like the Kong Wubba Dog Toy. Whether you're training your dog in fetch or you want to have a good old game of tug of war, KONGs Tug dog toys are perfect.

Plus, KONG rope toys are also designed with ridges to scrape and clean your dog's teeth while also providing an outlet for chewing, helping you keep them entertained and their teeth clean! If you struggle with brushing your dog's teeth, then why not try the KONG Dental Rope Dog Toy?

Kong Puppy Toys

As well as their range of adult toys, there's also a great range of KONG toys for puppies! These toys are made with a natural, non-toxic puppy rubber, making them perfect for teaching puppies appropriate chewing behaviour without being too tough on tiny teeth. The KONG Teething Stick is especially good as it gives your puppy an outlet for chewing while their adult teeth start to come through, giving them relief from pain.

If you really want to distract your puppy from chewing anything in sight, why not try filling a puppy KONG with treats to entice them further to chew the toys instead of the furniture?

Kong Cat Toys

Cats are natural-born hunters, and their instincts to chase, pounce, and scratch are noticeable all through their lives. While this behaviour is adorable and makes for an entertaining playtime, it can lead to behavioural problems if your cat doesn't have the right outlet.

Luckily, there are plenty of KONG toys for cats to help you encourage these natural instincts and keep your cat happy, active and entertained. The Kitty KONG Cat Toy is a particular favourite, offering the same benefits as the Classic KONG for dogs but in a size more manageable for cats' mouths. By filling the Kitty KONG with treats or dry kibble, you can draw on your cat's natural curiosity, while the unpredictable wobble and bounce will help keep them entertained and engaged for ages.

If your cat likes to hide and pounce at you at inopportune moments, then any one of the KONG interactive cat toys may be the answer, like this KONG Catnip Toys Better Buzz Gecko. If the natural cat-nip doesn't entice your cat and get them in a playful mood, then the touch-activated sounds sure will, encouraging your cat to bat and chase.

Are KONG Toys Indestructible?

While KONG toys are certainly one of the toughest on the market, unfortunately, they are not entirely indestructible. No dog toy is, but many pet owners report that their KONG toy lasts up to 8 years before showing signs of wear!

If you find your dog is getting through their KONG toy much quicker than this, we'd recommended switching to a stronger model, like the KONG Extreme.

How Often To Clean KONG Toy?

You should always clean your dog's chew toys after use, especially if you've used food or treats inside.

Rinse your KONG with warm water and dish soap to remove any treat buildup or bacteria.

Are KONG Toys Dishwasher Safe?

Yes! The classic KONG rubber toys are top-shelf dishwasher safe and can be washed with the rest of your dishes in the dishwasher, or in the sink with warm water and dishsoap.

Are KONG Rubber Toys Safe For Dogs?

Absolutely! All KONG chew toys are made with a non-toxic, natural rubber that is perfect for dogs to bite and chew to their heart's content.

However, after a few years of continuous use, you may begin to notice the rubber on your KONG cracking or showing other signs of wear and tear. This is perfectly normal, as no toy is truly indestructible. Pay attention if any material on the KONG begins to peel away, and make sure you replace it to prevent your dog from ripping off any pieces and accidentally swallowing them, as this can be a choking hazard.

If your dog does swallow any p[ieces of their KONG toy, seek immediate veterinary attention as this can cause problems with your dog's digestive tract.
