Love Them Well Every Day

Owners spend an average of £748.80 on their pets a year

There is no denying that our pets are a huge part of the family, and we love to spoil them. Whether that is by showering them in kisses, splashing the cash on toys and treats or simply spending time together, it is easy to see how much our pets mean to us.

In the UK, we spend on average £748.80 a year on our pets, but this is predominately focused on their health with almost two thirds going on food while a further 29% is spent on vet visits. Only 9% is spent on toys, which shows, while we love to keep our pets feeling happy, their health is our number one priority.

How do you show your pet you love them every day?

It is safe to say you do not have to spend money to make your pet happy - physical affection is just as important and they get endless enjoyment from this. What’s more, conversation is a great way to make a pet feel seen and included, which is why it is unsurprising that over two thirds of owners (67%) enjoy talking to their cat or dog.
