About Loxicom Doses

Loxicom is available for both dogs and cats, and as such the dosages needed for both are very different. Always speak with a pharmacist before administering this medication as it is important that your pet is accurately weighed and assessed by a vet to ensure they are not under or overdosed.

Loxicom for Dogs

Loxicom for dogs in its oral form has a straightforward dosage to be given based on your dog’s weight and needs.  Please ensure you follow the prescribed dosage as given by your veterinarian as this can vary on a case-by-case basis.

Loxicom for Cats

Loxicom for cats comes in an oral suspension, and should be dosed based on your cat’s weight and needs. This medication comes in 5ml or 15ml bottles, and as with dogs should be given according to the prescribed amount by your veterinarian.

How to administer Loxicom Oral Suspension

Loxicom Oral Suspension can  be given to your pet directly, or may be added to their food. The following instructions are how to administer the Loxicom Oral Suspension directly into your pet's mouth. First, tilt back your pet’s head and pull back their lip. Place the tip of the syringe just pat your pet’s teeth (most easily the canine) and slowly inject the solution as your pet swallows. Make sure not to press too quickly as this can cause choking and wastage. Once the solution has been administered, give your pet a treat.
