Vetoryl Capsules is for the treatment of Cushing's disease (pituitary-dependent and adrenal-dependent hyperadrenocorticism) in dogs.
What is Cushings Disease? Cushings disease is the overproduction of the hormone 'cortisol' by the adrenal glands (located near the kidneys). It is one of the most commonly endocrine disorders to affect dogs and normally occurs as a result of a tumour (normally benign). The most common signs of this disease include hair loss, increased appetite and drinking. Due to the excessive amounts of cortisol in the body, it suppresses the body's immune system and increase the risk of contracting bacterial infections. The most common location of the infection is the bladder.
