Dechra SPECIFIC® CGW All Breeds Senior Wet Dog Food is recommended for senior dogs of all breeds (small breeds from 8 years, medium breeds from 7 years, large breeds from 6 years and giant breeds from 5 years and older). SPECIFIC™ CGW Senior All Breeds is a nutritional aid for support of health in the senior dog.

Dechra SPECIFIC® CGW All Breeds Senior Wet Dog Food uses moderately reduced protein, phosphorus and sodium content, which reduces the kidneys' workload and supports renal function in senior dogs. The high biological value of the proteins supplies enough essential amino acids to the dog. 

EPA and DHA are both Omega-3 fatty acids with a beneficial effect on maintaining healthy skin and coat, healthy articular cartilage and normal mobility in joints of senior dogs. The complete, balanced diet has a slightly increased fibre content, resulting in somewhat lower energy content. This supports maintaining ideal body weight in older dogs with a reduced energy requirement.

Taurine is an essential nutrient necessary for many aspects of metabolism. Taurine is required for normal myocardium function and supports the heart muscle function in senior dogs. It contains ß-1,3/1,6-glucans from yeast, which can bind to receptors of white blood cells, thereby alerting the immune system and supporting the immune response.
