Did you know that a lack of vitamin C (scurvy) is the most common nutritional deficiency in guinea pigs? Luckily it's also the most preventable.
Feeding Directions: For guinea pigs feed one tablet daily / in times of stress vitamin C requirements may increase / consult your veterinarian for more information / hand feed Daily C directly to pet / place Daily C in pet's bowl / offer tablet on the floor at playtime the same as a treat / place Daily C directly into the mouth.
Adults must be supplemented with at least 10 mg of vitamin C for every kilogram of body weight.
Pregnant nursing and growing guinea pigs need at least 30 mg of vitamin C for every kilogram of body weight.
Clinical signs of vitamin C or ascorbic acid deficiency may include: rough coat, anorexia, diarrhea, bleeding from the gums, lameness, pain, delayed wound healing and increased susceptibility to bacterial infections may also occur.
Ingredients: Pineapple Powder, Vitamin C (Calcium Ascorbate), Apple Fiber Powder and Cranberry Fruit Powder.
Packaging: Each tablet contains 50 mg of stabilized vitamin C /Water soluble powders have a low stability in water; only 20% of the vitamin C sources remain after 8 hours in water.

Our standard delivery is free by Royal Mail 2nd Class - there are some exceptions and you can see these on our Delivery page. These include refridgerated items and aerosols which have to be sent via our Next Day Courier service.
We also offer delivery by Royal Mail 1st Class or a Next Day Courier service for a small fee (for items in stock ordered before 12pm Monday to Friday - excludes Saturday delivery).
Orders under £20 have a £2.50 handling fee automatically added.
Food deliveries weighing 2kg and over ordered before 12pm (Monday to Thursday) will be delivered next working day by courier - Monday to Friday - excludes Saturday delivery. Orders placed on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be delivered on a Tuesday. Orders weighing over 6kg are sent free.
