About Renal Dog Food: If your dog has lost their appetite and seems to be drinking more, it may be suffering from kidney problems. The nutritionists and veterinarians at Royal Canin have developed renal dog food in a range of flavours (both wet and dry) to offer your pet to make them more comfortable and give their system a much-needed boost.  As well as tasty range, designed to encourage even the fussiest dog to eat, the high-density calorie formula means only a small portion of renal dog food is needed to get results.  Renal dog food contains Omega-3 fatty acids and anti-oxidants to help improve your dog’s kidneys and general immune system health.  Restricted phosphorus and protein works to support your dog’s kidney function, with all ingredients working together to help make your dog more comfortable.

Does my dog need renal dog food? Your dog may have a kidney problem if they a showing some of these:
Weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea, poor hair/coat, loss of appetite, drinking more/urinating more. Speak to your vet if you think your dog may be suffering from a problem with their kidneys and they will advise you on what treatment will be best for you and your dog.

Ingredients: Meat and animal derivatives (pork, poultry), cereals, oils and fats, eggs and egg derivatives, minerals, derivatives of vegetable origin, yeasts, various sugars.

InfoPLEASE NOTE: Some pet food tins are made from very thin metal, so we package them carefully for shipping. However the odd tin can get a little dented during transit. In the majority of cases this is simply cosmetic damage and the contents are unaffected. If you see a dented tin on delivery, just give it a quick once over and if you can't see any leaks the can's unpunctured - the food will be fine. If a can has leaked or is punctured get in touch via email at

"My dogs not at all fond of this. I have tried mixing kibble in and warming it up, he eats it but reluctantly. (I feel bad writing bad about the food that now means so much to us!)"

"Being a vet I am skeptical about prescription diets as many of these are not great, however this food is fantastic. It has given my dog an extra 20+ weeks of life than her prognosis.

The food is always packaged well and can be kept in the fridge for around 24 hours."
