Rimadyl Palatable Tablets 100mg
What is Rimadyl? Rimadyl is a square, light brown tablet available in 20mg, 50mg and 100mg tablets. It is an anti-inflammatory for the treatment of pain and inflammation due to arthritis, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery in dogs.
Rimadyl is a prescription item and will be sent once a valid prescription is received. Please follow the instructions given by your vet.
It is supplied either individually or in packs of 100.
The active ingredient in Rimadyl is carprofen. Carprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication which is used to treat pain from inflammation. This can be due to arthritis, joint pain, oesteoarthritis, hip dysplasis and other forms of joint deterioration. It is also used to treat short term post-operative pain.
What are the signs of arthritis? If your dog shows any of these signs it is best to speak to your Vet to determine if your dog has arthritis:
. No longer greets you at the door
. Stiffness or decreased movement of joints
. Limpness or laming
. Soreness when touched
. Licking affected area.
As Rimadyl is a liver flavoured tablet, they are easily consumed by most dogs when offered.
The recommended dose of Rimadyl is 2-4mg of carprofen per kg bodyweight daily. This can be given in one full dose or divided into two equal doses. After 7 days, the dose can be reduced to 2mg per kg bodyweight daily and given as a single dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
For how long do I need to give Rimadyl to my dog? The duration of treatment will be solely depend on the how well your dog responds to the medication. Long term treatment is possible and it requires regular check-ups with your Vet.
Always wash hands after handling the medication. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Orders under £20 have a £2.50 handling fee automatically added.
Food deliveries weighing 2kg and over ordered before 12pm (Monday to Thursday) will be delivered next working day by courier - Monday to Friday - excludes Saturday delivery. Orders placed on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be delivered on a Tuesday. Orders weighing over 6kg are sent free.*
