Liquivite Liquid Food is a complete dietary food for dogs. This food is smooth enough for syringe feeding when appetite is absent, and readily consumed as appetite returns. Importantly, Liquivite helps to replace fluid when dehydration has occurred, or is a risk.
This can also be used to introduce meat into a puppy's diet, in familiar liquid form, easing the transition to solids during weaning.
Essential vitamins and minerals are included, at levels suitable for dogs under stress conditions. Liquivite also contains fish oil, supplying Omega 3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, which boost the immune system and are anti-inflammatory. A prebiotic is included, to feed the beneficial bacteria in the gut. Rosemary, a natural antioxidant, is also added, as is yeast.
Instructions
Amounts to feed reflect Liquivite's higher moisture content and its role in re-hydrating as well as feeding the sick dog. For small breeds of dogs introduce at 100g per kg of bodyweight, for medium breeds at 80g, and for large breeds at 60g. Increase by 50% as appetite returns. These directions are given on the labels, as are amounts to feed the weaning puppy.
Shake can well before opening.
Once opened, use within 24 hours, refrigerating any unused portion. Return to room temperature before feeding.
Liquivite also freezes well, allowing its use over a period of time, for example where small daily amounts are needed for the weaning kitten. Freeze Liquivite in serving-size amounts. When required, defrost and allow to return to room-temperature, stir well, and feed as normal.

In the majority of cases this is simply cosmetic damage and the contents are unaffected. If you see a dented tin on delivery, just give it a quick once over and if you can't see any leaks the can's unpunctured - the food will be fine.
