Frontline Flea Treatment Spot On for Dogs

Frontline flea treatment is a spot on solution for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations and for the control of biting lice in dogs.

Each pipette of Frontline flea treatment for dogs contains Fipronil. Fipronil is an insecticide that disrupts the insect central nervous system which then causes them to die. Once applied, Frontline flea treatment causes hyperexcitation and this will mean that you will notice more fleas on your animal. Don't worry, this means it's working!

How to apply Frontline spot on:

Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Break back the snap-off top along the scored line. Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty the contents onto the skin at two spots; one at the base of the skull and one 2-3cm further back. It is important to make sure the product is applied to an area where the dog cannot lick the product off. Once applied, Frontline for dogs will last for up to one month.

It is recommended to not bathe your dog within 2 days of applying Frontline. Do not use on rabbits. Frontline spot on for dogs cannot be used for cats or ferrets due to risk of overdosing. Shop for Frontline spot on flea treatment for cats.

What our vet says

"Frontline is a great spot on treatment for dogs of all sizes. It works by attacking the insect nervous system. And to begin with, you may see more fleas as they start to die. Don't worry, this actually means it is working. The hyperexcitation stage happens before the insects are killed."
