Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary Wet Feline (Sachets & Tins)
Royal Canin Feline Urinary Pouches are particularly indicated in cases of recurrent idiopathic cystitis. Because of its inhibition of formation of both struvite and oxalate crystals, Urinary S/O Feline is the first-line diet of choice prior to crystal identification. This diet is intended for long-term use and it is particularly important to ensure that Urinary S/O Feline is the cat's only food source, as access to other foods may trigger recurrence of urolithiasis.
It is available in 48 x 100g chicken and beef sachets and 12 x 195g chicken tins.
Struvite dissolution - Urinary S/O Feline effectively dissolves struvite stones.
Urine dilution - Diluting urine decreases the urinary concentration of struvites and calcium oxalates. The larger urinary volume also ensures regular bladder wash out.
Low RSS - Undersaturated urine is an environment where crystals cannot proliferate and so is unfavourable to the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
Bladder support - Glycosaminoglycans (GAG) are naturally present on the healthy bladder mucosa but decrease in idiopathic cystitis. This causes increased permeability of the bladder to bacteria, toxins and ions, resulting in bladder inflammation and stimulation of pain sensitive receptors. Reduced level of magnesium, a natural component of struvite crystals.
Ingredients: Meat and animal derivatives (including chicken 5%), cereals, oils and fats, eggs and egg derivatives, derivatives of vegetable origin, minerals, molluscs and crustaceans, various sugars.

One of my cats has to have this food and, according to the vet, it appears to be doing what it should.
Been recommended this by the vets and my cat loves it! And he seems to be getting along just fine now after his UTI.
Cats love it, although I wish they did more flavours such as fish as my cat gets bored quickly but he has to have this good.
I now have 2 eleven year old cats permanently on urinary SO recommended by our vet. Both cats ok with no return of urinary problems.
Good product, had to use as vet recommended but no problems since using this so it must be working. Happy cat = happy owner
My cat loves it, it would eat it all the time. It also looks good for human standards, sometime I'm tempted to try it.
I personally havent tried it so I cant provide a review on the actual item... The cat loves it though!
This is a specialised product for certain urinary problems in cats. I use both the 'Wet' sachets as well as the 'Dry' version to give my cat some variance in her diet as my Vet recommended that she should not have any other type of food nor any treats. I have found both varieties to be excellent products, which I have fed to my cat for some two years now and she has had no recurrence of the urinary problem. She eats both varieties quite readily - which is perhaps quite remarkable as she was a feral cat who "adopted" us some twelve years ago and used to be fed various other products until the onset of her urinary problems.
My cat has to have this diet I havent chosen to feed my cat on this however he loves it and never turns his nose up and he is a fussy cat
