- Reduces renal workload, increased kidney workload may induce uremic crisis. An adapted content of high quality protein helps reduce kidney workload
- High energy, high energy density helps limit weight loss
- Appetite preference, designed aromatic profile helps answer to specific cat's preference
Renal Select Cat has a pillow shaped kibble with a thin crunchy shell and soft centre, so it's ideal for cats who struggle with the standard kibble. It is also higher in calories so well-suited for older cats that struggle to eat and keep weight on.
It works to reduce oxalate stone formation, through its low level of calcium and vitamin D, and its urine alkalising properties. It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed renal special for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and reduction of oxalate stone formation. For cases of temporary renal insufficiency a period of 2 to 4 weeks feeding is recommended.
About Renal Cat Food: Renal cat food could mean a huge improvement in the quality of life for your cat. Cats with kidney problems can be disinterested in eating but renal cat food has been especially formulated by nutritionists at Royal Canin to be incredibly palatable for cats, tempting them to feed. The nutritionists have also ensured that even a small amount of renal cat food can give your pet a huge boost, with high-energy density providing sufficient calorie intake in smaller portions.

Liked by my cat who has renal complaint. I also use a couple of the biscuits to tempt my other cats when they are reluctant to feed - they love them.
Having used different types of Royal Canin - Dry Foods in the past.
I can fully recommend this Product.
My cat wouldn't eat the renal food. I don't know why because the meat content looks the same as regular cat food.
£140 in total wasted. Well, wasted on my cat :-(
I will donate it all to local Vet.
