Specific FKW Feline Kidney Support Wet
Kidney support is: a restricted content of phosphorus that is essential to prevent hyperphosphataemia and to slow down the progression of kidney insufficiency in cats with cardiac disease.
The products benefits include: EPA and DHA that can support maintenance of lean body mass/ appetite and normal blood pressure and platelet aggregation, liver/kidney support, reduced content of protein in combination with protein of high biological value reduces azotemia in cats with renal failure and heart support through sodium excretion being reduced as part of the compensatory response to the reduced cardiac output and consequently sodium and water retention occurs.
The reduced sodium level helps break the vicious circle of water retention, provide healthy urinary tract support, reduces the urinary concentrations of oxalate cystine and urate and added potassium citrate helps keep calcium oxalate in solution.

Tried Hills and Purina but my cat just turned her nose up at them, Specific was the only one she enjoys and wolfs down at each meal!
The individual trays are convenient and I use one per day, split into two meals with a few extra biscuits, which provides enough daily allowance.
I saw an immediate improvement in her symptoms within days of using.
The cat with kidney failure won't touch this food -- shies away from it -- and two other cats who tried to steal some didn't like it either. So I'm stuck with 45 x 100g trays of this product that no cat will eat. Kidney failure cat won't eat Hills Prescription Diet k/d wet food sachets either; nor will the other cats.

Thank you for your kind words on our service. Could I refer you to the nutritional experts at Royal canin - I don't know whether they can help but it is worth a shot. Can you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org?
