Metacam Chewable Tablets for Dogs 1mg
Metacam Chewable Tablets for Dogs 1mg is an anti-inflammatory for treatment of pain and inflammation relating to musculo-skeletal disorders including arthritis in dogs.
It is supplied in 1mg and 2.5mg tablets, either individually or in packs of 84.
The active ingredient is Meloxicam which is non-steriodal and an anti-inflammatory. It has been proven to help to relieve pain within 30-60 minutes.------------------
How do I know if my dog has osteoarthritis? The signs can be very subtle. If you notice any of the following changes, always speak to your Vet.
- Difficulty climbing stairs
- Stiffness or slowness in rising from resting position
- Excessive licking of a joint or leg
- Change in normal eating habits
Dosage instructions for maintenance dose:
4-7kg - 1/2 tablet
7-10kg - 1 tablet
10-15kg - 1.5 tablets
15-20kg - 2 tablets
Above 20kg will require the 2.5mg tablet
For dogs weighing under 4kg, it is advised to use Metacam oral suspension.
Please be aware that the dose shown above is for guidance only. Always speak to your Vet.
Do not use in pregnant and lactating animals.
Do not use in dogs less than 6 weeks of age.

For Light items (under 2kg) our standard method is Royal Mail Second Class (there are a few exceptions, so if in doubt check our Delivery page).
To get it faster you can upgrade Light items to Royal Mail 1st Class or a Guaranteed Next Day Courier service, Saturday Courier or even before 12 noon services. There's a small fee, but if you're in a hurry they are worth considering. To qualify for next working day delivery, orders must be placed before 12 Noon Monday to Thursday. There is no standard Saturday courier delivery.
Heavy items weighing 2kg and more are sent via courier. If ordered before noon Monday to Thursday, Heavy items will be delivered next working day. Heavy items ordered after 12 Noon Friday, or anytime Saturday and Sunday will dispatched on Monday for a Tuesday delivery.
Please note that if you are purchasing a mix of Light and Heavy items at the same time, these will be sent separately. The Heavy items being sent by Courier, the Light items by Royal Mail Second Class.

The service was good would order again as they were veary good let me now when it was coming which was good as you have click on were you won’t it left or change the day which was good but the only problem I would of had was the Dilivery guy dropped one parcel I said there was two he said now only one but came back just after with the other one he said the other guy said it was one so if I had not been at home not sure if I would of got the other one which coast more money
