Epiphen Tablets (Phenobarbitone) 60mg

Epiphen Tablets (Phenobarbitone) 60mg is an oral tablet and is used in the control of epilepsy in dogs.

Epilepsy is a disorder in which animals will repeatedly experience seizures (fits). It is most commonly first noticed in animals between 6 months to 5 years of age but it could still effect animals at any age.

Epiphen Tablets are a prescription item and will be sent once a valid prescription is received. Please follow the instructions given by your vet.

Epiphen Tablets are a white, circular tablet and are supplied in individual 60mg tablets and is also available in 30mg tablets. Epiphen is also available in a solution which is predominantly used in dogs less than 12kg and who need a more accurate dose of medication.

The tablets are stocked in pots of 1000 and when smaller quantities are ordered, the tablets are counted into brown containers for dispatch.

The dosage required for this medication will vary depending on the severity of the disorder. When starting this treatment, dogs are normally given a dose of 2-5mg per kg bodyweight per day. This dose should be divided and administered twice daily. Your Vet will then gradually increase the dose if necessary to find the most suitable dose for your animal.

Do not use Epiphen Tablets in pregnant animals or animals with impaired hepatic function.

Do not change or stop giving Epiphen suddenly as this could cause a state of continuous seizuring.

Please note we must RECEIVE the original prescription BEFORE we can dispatch your order.

Emailed, faxed or uploaded copies cannot be accepted. Controlled medications cannot be repeated - any repeats will not be authorised.

The product will be sent via Courier only.
