Renalzin contains phosphorus binder, lanthanum carbonate and is specifically formulated for cats by reducing the uptake of excess phosphorus in the diet.
Controlling phosphorus helps to protect the kidneys and slow the progression of kidney disease.
Renalzin is an easy to administer paste available in a convenient pump applicator, can be dispensed directly onto the food or mixed into it and can be added to wet or dry food

My eighteen year old Burmese was given about two weeks to live nearly three years ago. We tried all the special kidney diet foods which she would eat for a short time and then reject. Also She would sometimes refuse all food at which point we had to give her Periactin (?) to start her eating again, which worked but had side effects.
Since giving her Renalzin twice a day, added to various ordinary cat foods, she has been eating quite well.
Very easy to administer, as can be squeezed into food and is clearly palatable. Only problem is, not easy to gauge exactly how much is a pump as dosage seems a bit irregular.
