Scalibor Collar

Scalibor Collar is for the control of infestations of ticks, control of blood sucking caused by sand flies and for an anti-feeding effect on adult mosquitoes.

It is supplied in two sizes; "small-medium (48cm)" or "large" (65cm). The small collar contains 0.76g of deltamethrin and the large collar contains 1.0g of deltamethrin. Please measure your dogs neck before purchasing the collar to ensure an accurate fit.

The collar itself is white and odourless.

Scalibor Collars provide up to 6 months protection from ticks. It kills ticks that can transmit serious diseases such as Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Babesiosis. The collar should be applied at least 10-14 days before exposure to fleas and ticks.

Directions for use:

. Tighten band until two fingers sit snugly under the band

. Buckle and check that it is secure around your dog's neck

. Trim off any excess and leave a maximum of 2 inches beyond the buckle.

To be used on dogs only. The active ingredient is deltamethrin which is harmful to cats and aquatics (especially fish). If cats have close contact with the dog that is wearing the collar, it can cause "Feline Permethrin Toxicosis".  Even though the collars are waterproof, please also be careful when worn around open waters where fish are likely to be.

Wash hands after handling product.

Do not open pouch until the collar is ready to use.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.

We have used this product before and is excellant

Because I travel to Spain a lot a scalibor collar is essential.

This is a great find. We spend a lot of time in the lake District and our dog often picks up one or more ticks. I found this even though I treated her regularly with Frontline and the ticks were engorged and alive when I removed them. Then she got fleas (actually I only saw one flea) but there were bound to be more. The Frontline clearly wasn't working. I now use Advantage for the fleas and the Scalibor collar for ticks, she did not pick up one tick last summer whilst wearing the collar. I tell everybody about it. I remove it when she swims although this is not supposed to be necessary.
