Ulcosan is a daily nutritional supplement suitable for horses of any age. The formulation contains minerals, herbs and amino acids that help to support and restore the gastric mucosa, to minimise psychological stress and to reduce excessive stomach acid.
Pectins from carrot and apple pomace form a gel layer that coats the stomach wall, helping to calm excess acid and soothe stomach discomfort. Herbal ingredients (grape seed, milk thistle, yucca schidigera, licorice root) help to maintain a normal stomach environment.
Magnesium Citrate and Tryptophan help reduce stress and help ease the associated symptoms of erratic behaviour such as stable vices, tooth grinding and weight loss. Pre and probiotic yeasts support the digestive processes and balance the bowel.
Ulcosan should be considered to aid the recovery of horses from gastric upsets and to help manage stomach discomfort. It is particularly useful during periods of stress and strain, such as transportation, weaning of foals, or conflicts within the herd.
