Clavaseptin Tablets 62.5mg is for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of periodontal infections in dogs and the treatment of skin infections (including wounds and abscesses) in cats.
The recommended dose of Clavaseptin is 10mg amoxicillin/2.5mg clavulanic acid per kg bodyweight daily. The duration of treatment will differ depending on the treatment. A 7 day treatment is required for the periodontal infections in dogs and also for the treatment of skin infections in cats. However, in cats, an assessment needs to be taken out after the 7 day treatment to see if a further 7 days is required.
To ensure the dose is correct and the risk of under-dosing is at a minimum, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible.
Do not administer Clavaseptin to gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits or chinchillas.
Handle product with great care. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
