Renal Select Cat has a pillow shaped kibble with a thin crunchy shell and soft centre, so it's ideal for cats who struggle with the standard kibble. It is also higher in calories so well-suited for older cats that struggle to eat and keep weight on.
It works to reduce oxalate stone formation, through its low level of calcium and vitamin D, and its urine alkalising properties. It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed renal special for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and reduction of oxalate stone formation. For cases of temporary renal insufficiency a period of 2 to 4 weeks feeding is recommended.
About Renal Cat Food: Renal cat food could mean a huge improvement in the quality of life for your cat. My cat wouldn't eat the renal food. I don't know why because the meat content looks the same as regular cat food.
£140 in total wasted. Well, wasted on my cat :-(
I will donate it all to local Vet.

It seems to be suiting the cat for whom it was prescribed and our other, younger, cat steals it so it must be pretty good!
My cat will not eat renal wet food but has been eating this dry food for several years and appears to still enjoy it.
