Frontline for Cats
Frontline Spot On for Cats is a spot on solution for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations and for the control of biting lice in cats.
It is supplied in packets of 3 or 6 single use pipettes. Each pipette of Frontline contains 50mg of Fipronil. Fipronil is an insecticide that disrupts the insect central nervous system which then causes them to die. Once applied, Frontline causes hyperexcitation and this will mean that you will notice more fleas on your animal. Don't worry, this means it's working!
Each pipette contains 0.5 ml of liquid and will treat a cat weighing up to 6.6kg.
How to apply Frontline: Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Break back the snap-off top along the scored line.
Part the fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty the contents onto the skin at two spots; one at the base of the skull and one 2-3cm further back.
It is important to make sure the product is applied to an area where the cat cannot lick the product off. Always make sure that other cats do not lick the area either.
Once applied, Frontline will last for up to one month.
It is recommended to not bathe your cat within 2 days of applying Frontline.
Do not treat any cats weighing under 1kg or under 8 weeks of age with Frontline Spot On.
Do not use in rabbits.
Frontline Spot On for Cats is available to buy from Pet Drugs Online up to 51% cheaper than your vet.

This product hurt my cats neck, and to make matters worse did not get rid of the fleas.
On 21 Oct 2016 Pet Drugs Online responded:
Dear Pauline. Thank you for your feedback on the Frontline Flea Treatment you purchased. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with Frontline on your cat but hope that you were happy with our service. Frontline is one of our most popular products and I've not heard of any issues with it hurting a cat's neck. Very rarely a small amount of hair might fall out at the point it is applied on the neck and this could occur with most spot on treatments. It may be worth trying an alternate product such as Advantage that uses a different active ingredient and also making sure that your cat's household environment is also treated with a flea spray. Please do not hesitate to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org if we can be of any help. Jon (E-Commerce Manager)
Haven't had fleas since using this product and it is so easy to administer. Spot on is the only way to go for cats.
Frontline is always used on our two cats and we have never suffered fleas in the house as a result. A spot on treatment is so much kinder to the cat than a spray (the noise always frightened previous cats) and everyone should keep away from those awful 'flea collars' that cause the cats to lose the fur round their necks. We trust Frontline, an effective product at a fair price through Pet Drugs On Line.
