Still have to convince the cats, but the product was just as described. Perhaps I didn't hide it well enough.
Fairly easy to administer - just make sure it is mixed into a strongly flavoured favourite food. It works fine, the cats don't notice that they have been treated, there's no nasty smell and no need to not handle or make a fuss of the cats. Admittedly it may be impossible to get the home completely flea free, as my cats are free to go outside and mix with other animals, including hedgehogs. It's inevitable that a few little jumpers make it indoors but vacuuming regularly solves that problem, and Program works for several weeks. Given monthly as recommended, it controls the indoor population well without poisoning beneficial insects that may wander in.
This product clears fleas from both the cats and my home within a couple of weeks by preventing the fleas from breeding. Administered in food, the cats don't realise they are eating it, and so it is stress free. Also there is no horrible smell or a necessity not to handle the cats afterwards as there is with neck drops, which I know cats hate anyway as they can smell it too. I wouldn't use anything else.
Was a bit of a struggle to get him to eat this (even with tuna) but got there in the end. No problems with any of my other cats. Hopefully as he grows up he won't notice it and just eat it like all the others.
I have tried Frontline - useless......Bob Martins Spot On and more recently Programme oral flea treat for cats, absolutely useless, my elderly cat is so continuously distressed by the scratching........I wanted STRONGHOLD but being Disabled and housebound I am not in a position to make the journey to the PDSA........PERHAPS THE PEOPLE WHO RECOMEND THESE USELESS TREATMENTS SHOULD GIVE A THOUGHT TO THE VULNERABLE PENSIONERS SUCH AS MYSELF WHO ARE ON A LIMITED INCOME, WE ARE WASTING VALUABLE RESOURCES ON TREATMENTS THAT ARE NO LONGER EFFECTIVE..........REGARDS Linda Denham-Larholt

Good morning Linda - I was sorry to read this. Treating a flea infestation is not as easy as simply applying a flea treatment.
In summary to need to treat the animal (as you are doing) and then break the cycle by treating the environment and ideally other animals that your cat comes into contact with.

So much easier than my attempts to get a tablet down his throat! and my cat is allergic to products you have to put on the back of their neck.
Really easy to useand appears to be effective, 4 years of using and no fleas so far.
Very good product, cats are not traumatised as they don't realise they are eating it, and it works very well. Fleas are resistant to the leading spot on product in my area so this is a good alternative.
First time in using this product, so far so good. No side effects at the moment only time will tell. Easy to use, mixed with food, would buy again.
Lots cheaper than the vets been using these for over a year now one dose a month mixed in with my cats food and we have a flea free house ever since first product that's ever done a proper job
