Clavaseptin Tablets 250mg
Clavaseptin Tablets 250mg is for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of periodontal infections in dogs and the treatment of skin infections (including wounds and abscesses) in cats.
Clavaseptin Tablets are a prescription item and will be sent once a valid prescription is received. Please follow the instructions given by your vet.
It is supplied in 50mg, 62.5mg, 250mg and 500mg single tablets or packs of 100 (all strengths are available on our website). If a specific number is required, please type the number into the box above and then add to your basket.
What ingredients are in Clavaseptin? Clavaseptin is made up of amoxicillin (as trihydrate) and clavulanic acid (as potassium salt). Amoxicillin is in a class of medications called "penicillin-like antibiotics". It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. The clavulanic acid is in a class of medication called "beta-lactamase inhibitors". This works by preventing any bacteria from destroying the amoxicillin.
The recommended dose of Clavaseptin is 10mg amoxicillin/2.5mg clavulanic acid per kg bodyweight daily. The duration of treatment will differ depending on the treatment. A 7 day treatment is required for the periodontal infections in dogs and also for the treatment of skin infections in cats. However, in cats, an assessment needs to be taken out after the 7 day treatment to see if a further 7 days is required.
To ensure the dose is correct and the risk of under-dosing is at a minimum, bodyweight should be determined as accurate as possible.
Do not administer Clavaseptin to gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits or chinchillas.
Handle product with great care. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Online site very easy to use, more affordable treatment when on a tight budget and prompt delivery
Will definitely use again
I regularly use Pet Drugs Online to buy both prescription items and syringes etc. for my diabetic dog & Advocate for all my dogs. The prices are so much cheaper than I can buy from my vet, even taking into consideration the vet fee for writing out a prescription & the delivery charge for my order. It's easy to scan a copy of the prescription from your vet & send with your order too. Very pleased with this site & would highly recommend.
