What is Advantage Flea Treatment?

Advantage is a topical flea solution which offers your pet up to 4 weeks of protection from fleas. One application quickly treats flea infestation and kills fleas on your pet within 24 hours. It also kills flea larvae on your pet, breaking the flea life cycle and protecting your pet and home.

How Does Advantage Flea Treatment Work?

Advantage is a topical flea control solution that eliminates fleas on cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets within a day.

The key component in Advantage items is Imidacloprid, a neurotoxic insecticide that functions by disrupting the transmission in the flea's nervous system, leading to paralysis and, eventually, death. The Imidacloprid then sheds naturally with a treated pet's skin and fur to kill fleas and flea larvae in the home, making for effective flea protection.

Advantage products kill fleas on contact, so there's no need for flea to bite, making it an efficient treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis.

Advantage is perfectly safe and will not harm your pet. It is also safe for use in puppies and kittens from 8 weeks and in dogs up to 40kg. If your pet is younger than 8 weeks or heavier than 40kg, speak with your vet for advice.

You should use Advantage as part of a treatment plan to protect your pet from parasites inside and out. Make sure you pair Advantage with an effective worming product to ensure complete protection fast.
